We all know everything tastes better with bacon. Well shrimp and avocado also make everything better. Why not combine all three! This is a great basic roll which can be used as a foundation for more complicated rolls. Try variations of this roll with additional ingredients and the toppings and sauces of your choice.
Begin by chopping up large shrimp. The larger the shrimp the better the flavor. It is nearly impossible to have great tasting sushi when using small shrimp.
Chop up fresh ripe avocado.
Add bacon crumbles.
Use sriracha or another chili paste to add heat and flavor. There is no rule to the amount. Use as much as necessary to achieve the heat level you desire.
Unagi sauce gives an amazing flavor to these rolls and is a step which shouldn’t be skipped.
Add sushinoko seasoning to this roll for robust flavor. Be generous when adding the sushinoko seasoning.
Panko crumbs to give this roll a crunchy texture.
Blend the mixture.
Use a half-sheet of nori with this roll. Because the filling isn’t solid you won’t be able to make a larger roll very well. Rolls will deform while cutting if you use a full sheet.
Add furikake rice seasoning to the outside of the roll. There are many flavors available. For this example we are using the salmon flavored furikake.
Flip your nori over to make a uramaki roll.
Add mixture and a small strip of wasabi mayo (optional).
Get your roll started.
Form the roll to the shape you want.
At this point you have a beautiful uramaki roll.
Cover with plastic wrap and cut into eight pieces.
This roll is colorful and delicious. You can make this roll quickly, easily, and for very little money.
